Mentors Matters - 6/24/2008 | |
| We all feel thankful to be a part of a program that strives to provide an ever important role model to those who may not have one. The kids that are part of Jennifer's programs are lucky to have you and her in their lives. The developing relationships are becoming stronger and stronger. It is easy to see, although at times unspoken, how much these kids look forward to spending time with the mentors. |  |

The more profound impact I see is that on the mentors. How fortunate do you feel to have a child slowly open their heart to you? In all reality, you may have been a stranger to them two weeks ago. Now, in such a short time you are a role model, leader, and a friend. You are undoubtedly giving back by being part of a great service for the youth. You are paid in a growing sense of self worth and knowing that you are taking action in making the community a better place. |

| Today, after golf the kids interviewed the mentors. Their goal was to identify what fueled each mentor's passion for life. I think it helped remind the mentor's what their passion for life really was. | |
