Mentors Matters - 6/12/2008

The first week of the program continued to move in a great direction.  Frank Crockett, our guest speaker for the day, got us started off right with a team building exercise involving a beach ball, sand, and hula hoops.

As the kids built up a sweat, I got to sit back and watch one of our more athletic mentors show the kids how it's done.  Kind of.

(The bigger they are, the harder they fall!)

Today the kids were given an excellent opportunity to sit down and discuss how a persons actions and behaviors produce certain consequences with the mentors.

(Taking time for each other)

               (Lean on me....)

After lunch everybody made their way to the putting green where Ted Cremeans had marked out a putting course.  The course was designed to help the kids learn about the importance of proper speed and tempo when putting.

(Looking forward to sinking some putts...)

 (A lesson in setting up)

Thanks to each and every person who was able to attend, we look forward to seeing all of you this summer!
