I am from Elyria, Ohio a suburb of Cleveland. I started caddying in the Summer of 2008 at the Elyria Country Club where my father and uncles had worked when they were growing up. In the late ‘90s and early ‘00s Elyria had a quite large caddy program with 50-80 caddies showing up daily. I caddied along side my twin brother and several close friends. Nearly all of my teenage summers were spent at the golf course, caddying, playing, working the bag room and cart barn, managing the closing shift of the caddy shack, and even picking the range from time to time. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t reminisce about my caddie experience. Many of my closest friends were met on the golf course or at the caddy shack. Many of life’s greatest lessons were learned on the golf course. Sportsmanship, Integrity, Responsibility, Honesty, Judgement and much more were all learned on the golf course.
