A First For Ohio Golf |
- Following its successful collaboration with the United
States Golf Association (USGA) for the inaugural U.S. Adaptive Open
Championship in Pinehurst last year, the Northern Ohio Golf Association has
forged a partnership with Cleveland Metroparks Golf to launch a new Adaptive
Open event in Ohio. The groundbreaking Ohio Adaptive Open Championship is
scheduled to take place from August 5 to 6, 2023, at the Cleveland Metroparks
Seneca Golf Course in Broadview Heights. Participation in the Ohio Adaptive Open is open to both
male and female golfers aged 18 or above, regardless of whether they are
professional or amateur, and regardless of any physical, vision, or
neurological impairments they may have. The tournament will adopt an individual stroke play
format, featuring various divisions that will allow all players to experience
the excitement of competitive play alongside individuals facing similar
challenges. The USGA's recently established Rules for Golfers with Disabilities
will govern the conduct of the tournament. |
