 - Our Area's Amateur Championship commonly known as the Metropolitan will be contested for the 102nd time in 2024 when Miami Valley GC host the Championship for the 11th time. Next years championship will move up one month and be held from June 20-23. In 2013, the last time the championship was at Miami Valley GC, Nick Scott won by 10-shots over Craig Harden and Michael Bernard in the rain-shortened 54-hole competition. (See Final Scores) Notable past champions from when the Metropolitan has been held at Miami Valley GC include Michael Bernard (2009), John Blesi (1956), Dick Tang (1948), Joe Zotkiewicz (1938), Bob Servis (1933), Ralph Brown (1928), Paul Morgan (1925), and Vin Hilton (1920 and 1921) when the championship was contested for the second and third times.Registration will open shortly after the first of the year. |
