Association Events for 2024

828-XL- Our season kicks off on Sunday, April 14th, with the first two rounds of the Wright State Invitational at Heatherwoode Golf Club, concluding with 18 holes on Monday, April 15th. This event will feature participation from several colleges and universities, and we'll need the support of our dedicated volunteers.

The following weekend, we'll host the inaugural event of the Ohio Junior Series, part of the Team USA pilot program involving seven states. This 36-hole competition will take place at Pipestone GC, which we'll return to later in the year for the OHSAA District Championships. This Junior Series consists of eleven events across Ohio, offering elevated points contributing to a statewide ranking system. Once again, we'll rely on our fantastic volunteers for this event as many others throughout the season.

056-X2On Monday, April 29th, we'll hold our Annual Spring Better Ball tournament at NCR CC, featuring a 1 pm shotgun start, with lunch prior and an awards banquet that will include recognition of our 2023 Award Winners after play.

Mark your calendars for Monday, May 6th, for our Second Annual 100 Hole Hike at Miami Valley Golf Club. Last year, we raised over $17,000 for our Youth on Course Program, a significant contribution towards supporting junior golfers' access to courses for $5 or less at various public facilities.

Our Masters Season begins on Monday, May 13th, at Sugar Valley Golf Club, followed by the first DDWGA Event, featuring the Shamble and Scholar Award Banquet, hosted at Urbana CC on Monday, May 20th.

Following Memorial Day on May 28th, we'll host the Ohio Am Qualifier on the North Course at NCR CC. Shortly after, we'll return to Springfield CC for the US Open Final, which falls on the Monday prior to the PGA Tour's Memorial tournament this year, creating an interesting dynamic.

Our Second Masters Event will take place at Piqua CC on Monday, June 10th, before we head to Miami Valley Golf Club from Thursday, June 20th, to Sunday, June 23rd, for the 102nd Metropolitan Championship. This change was necessary to avoid conflicts with the Western Amateur, scheduled for the last week in July.

176-XLMoving into July, we have the DDWGA Twin Best Ball on the 1st at Dayton Country Club, followed by the Mid-Amateur and Senior Championship on Monday and Tuesday, July 8th and 9th, at Walnut Grove CC. On July 11th, Walnut Grove will again host the US Women’s Amateur Qualifier.

On July 15th, we'll assist with the Mercedes Event at Moraine CC, followed by the highly anticipated Western Amateur, taking place at Moraine from July 28th through August 3rd.

As we enter August, the Annual Tri-City Matches will be hosted by our area ladies at Dayton CC on Tuesday, August 6th. Our ladies aim for their fourth consecutive victory in this event, showcasing their prowess against the larger Metro Markets of Cincinnati and Columbus.

The DDWGA Classic will be held at CCN on Monday, August 12th, followed by the third Masters Event at Sycamore Creek on Monday, August 19th.

1381Our second and final Charity Event, benefiting our Youth On Course Program, will be held at Moraine CC on Monday, August 26th. Later in the week, on Thursday, August 29th, the 30th Miami Valley Team Invitational will take place at Sugar Valley Golf Club.

We'll resume our Event Schedule on Monday, September 16th, for our annual Celebration Event at Dayton CC, followed by the Ohio High School Golf Championships, starting with Sectionals on Monday, August 23rd, and concluding with our Girls D1 District at Pipestone on Thursday, October 10th.

In total, we anticipate hosting 57 Competitive Days of Play, with well over 600 Volunteer Shifts and over 4,500 rounds of competitive play. Registration for our events will be available shortly after the new year!
