- Televised golf is a great pastime for many of us on the weekends, but it is important to recognize how it can distort our expectations. 

We have all seen the rounds of pros draining 20+ foot putts and hitting numerous wedges to kick-in range. The reality is that we are watching such a small sample of play being done by the portion of the field who is playing at their absolute best that week. 

If you zoom out and look at the data, TOUR pros average about 1.5 holed putts of 20+ feet per tournament while averaging approach shots to 15 feet from 100 yards in the fairway.
