    Kathleen Glavin returns to 'Community' a ChampionFive years ago a 15-year-old Kathleen Glavin sat in the pro shop at Community Golf Course waiting for her tee time in the Janet Beardsley Junior Girls Golf Tournament, which was still 90 minutes away.

    DDWGA Jinx Fensel Recap

    Piqua,Ohio- Piqua Country Club played host to the Jinx Fensel Memorial Tournament on July 6.  Despite weather that reached into the mid 90s, DDWGA members took to course in what was a great afternoon of golf.

    The hardest hole of the day proved to be #18. The average score was 6.111 strokes on this 320-yard, par-4 hole. The easiest hole of the was was #10. DDWGAers  averaged 4.722 strokes on this par-4, 256-yard hole. The field average for the day was 96.185.

    Becky McCaughey's round of 64 was good enough to capture the individual low net championship!

    Congratulations is also in order for our team champions. In flight one Mary Gearhardt and Marilyn Hart won with a combined score of 142. McCaughey and Marcia Sellers combined round of 142 helped the duo capture the flight 2 victory, and Ann Burnett and Claire Cyr won flight three with a score of 141.

    Our low gross team champions was the duo of Daryl Nels and Diana Schwab, who finished with a score of 137.
