Recap: DSGA Event at Meadowbrook CC

    Scores                     Photos

Englewood, Ohio - The golf course at Meadowbrook County Club is very exciting and unique. It's with good reason that the Dayton Senior Golf Association plays the historic course every three years. Designed by area golf legend, Alec "Nipper" Campbell, the grounds at Meadowbrook allowed DSGA members to enjoy a fun and challenging afternoon of golf.

To no one's surprise the hardest hole of the day was #12, the average score was over 6 on this challenging par 5. It might be hard to believe, but the easiest hole was #11. The par-3 hole played less than a storke over par.  The field average score was 96.3.  To view all the course stats click HERE

Our friends at Ross Motor Cars will provide a Mercedes Benz for a weekend to Jerry Zwiesler, who was closest to the hole on #14. Mr. Zwiesler's distance of 19 feet, 1 inch, held up throughout the day. Congratulations Mr. Zwiesler and THANKS RMC!

The Board is considering changing the name of the DSGA to the Dayton Masters. If you have any thoughts on this topic, please reply to this e-mail.

The DSGA would like to thank Meadowbrook Superintendent Mark Goodwin, as well as his staff for all of their hard work in preparing for the event. An inch of rain fell on Meadowbrook CC between 3 am and 6 am on the morning of the event. Thanks to the staff's efforts, the course was in great playing shape!

Our next event is on Monday, Aug. 30 at Dayton Country Club.  To enter online click HERE.  To download and mail or fax in your entry click HERE

Hope to see you all there!
